In an overabundance of caution Utopia ISD will be closed on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. Utopia ISD will resume classes on Thursday, Feb. 2.

Due to the potential for wintery weather, Rocksprings ISD has cancelled the JH basketball game scheduled for this evening. The game will not be rescheduled.

JH District Basketball Tournament is Saturday, Feb 4th in Leakey. Boys first game is at 8:30am in the New Gym. Girls first game is at 8:30am in the Old Gym. Click the link to view the girls schedule:

To reiterate what we discussed last night, we are still in the exploratory phase of looking at the four-day calendar. Parents, guardians, family members, teachers, or community members may nominate a child for testing into the Utopia ISD Gifted and Talented Program at any time. Students who qualify for the program receive regular GT services in the upcoming school year. If you would like to nominate a child to be screened for our GT program, please request a form from akay@utopiaisd.net and complete the nomination survey.

Utopia ISD's annual holiday lunch with family members in the cafeteria will be Thursday December 8th. More information will be sent home with students and posted on the website after Thanksgiving break. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving !

District CC Meet, Monday , Oct 10th @ Rocksprings Golf Course. Six miles south of Rocksprings on HWY 55 between Rocksprings and Barksdale. HS will leave at 6:30 am. VG run @ 9:00am, VB run @ 9:30 am and JV run @10 am. Junior High will leave at 2:30 pm. Junior High Girls run at 5:00 pm and Junior High boys @ 5:30pm.

Tomorrow ,October 7th , money is due for HS BB boys shooting shirts and for HS student backpacks with names. ($38 for each....)

Utopia CC teams will be leaving at 12:00 , Monday, October 3rd to Rocksprings. The Cross Country meet will be held at the Golf Course. Varsity Boys will be running at 2:30. Varsity Girls will be running at 3:00. JH Girls will be running at 3:40. JH Boys will be running at 4:10. JH girls playing volleyball will not be going to the cross country meet.
